What is the Wave VI Microbiome Study?

You have the opportunity to help us! This study is self-collected, can be done from the privacy of your home, takes 10 minutes, and you will receive a $20 gift card if you participate.

During your home exam, you will receive a packet containing everything you need to participate in our Wave VI Microbiome study. The purpose of this study is to research the human microbiome, which is made up of the trillions of bacteria and microbes that are inside and outside the human body.

The microbiome is affected by health, lifestyle, sleep, diet, stress, and environment.


This is an exciting field of study that may help us understand new areas of health and well-being. Your participation is completely voluntary, and if you choose to participate you can do so on your own time and from home. The study would take you no more than 10 minutes and all of the information and supplies that you need are included inside the packet. If you decide to participate, you will receive an additional $20 as a thank you for completing the home exam. To thank you for accepting the packet and considering participation, an Add Health magnet and pen have been included inside as small gifts.

You can participate in the Wave VI Microbiome Study only after you have received the packet at the end of your home exam.

How Does the Wave VI Microbiome Study Work?

First, read the instructions. Second, collect your sample. Third, send us your sample. Fourth, receive your gift card.
